Golden Thread
In line with the recommendations outlined in the recruitment and retention strategy, the DfE is aiming to create a world-class system of training and development for teachers across England.
'Teaching quality is the most important in school determinant of pupil outcomes’ – DfE.
As your local TSH, Potentia TSH will provide you with access to each stage of the ‘golden thread’ of evidence informed teacher development reforms. We will ensure that each part of the golden thread is contextualised for the schools we serve and are facilitated by colleagues from schools, settings and organisations within our region who are experts in these fields.
- Initial Teacher Training
- Early Career Teacher
- Appropriate Body Services
- National Professional Qualification
- Continual Professional Development
At each stage of the golden thread there are frameworks that focus on 'learn that' and 'learn how' statements. The 'learn that' statements focus on the evidence base, whilst 'learn how' statements focus on how to apply this learning through practice tasks.
